Africa Hub Health Research Capacity project was awarded to the School of Public Health to nurture and develop capacity in health services and systems research. The project is under the Future Health Systems Research Program consortium with Makerere School of Public Health as the hub leader.
Strengthened capacities in health services and health systems research are critical to the goals of our own institutions and to population health.
With support from the Future Health Systems (FHS) consortium, seven schools of public health (SPHs) in East and Central Africa run a five-year project to strengthen their capacity to undertake high quality, policy relevant health systems research (HSR).
There are seven (7) Africa Hub partner institutions which include; Makerere University School of Public Health- Uganda, University of Nairobi School of Public Health- Kenya, Jimma University College of Public health and Medical Sciences- Ethiopia, Kinsasha School of Public Health- Democratic Republic of Congo, Moi University School of Public Health- Kenya, Muhimbili University School of Public Health- Tanzania and National University of Rwanda School of Public Health- Rwanda.
