Background
In 2021, the University of Nairobi (Department of Public & Global Health, and the Department of Clinical Medicine and Therapeutics) and Charité University Berlin established the Berlin - Nairobi Global HEART Program which combines health research, exchange, and training. The program runs for a duration of four years and aims to promote collaboration and exchange on global health research topics between the two universities. This project is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funds from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as part of the DAAD PAGEL Program.
